A Starting Point Resource for Parents and Teachers

Children who grow up with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (A.D.H.D) face more challenges than their peers. This disorder is very frustrating for children and others involved. It is important to parents, teachers, and the child to know and understand as much information as possible about the disorder so misconceptions can be put to rest as well as helping to ensure an equal and appropriate education. Without proper knowledge and understanding, children can be greatly affected by ADHD in current and future educational, business, and social settings. Children who have ADHD have different needs from peers who do not have it while each ADHD child may also have specific needs and symptoms that others may or may not have. ADHD is the most common neurobehavioral disorder among children.
